BOG 2025 – Boston, October 19-20

Dear Members of the Board of Governors and Friends of the University of Haifa,

Thank you for joining yesterday’s Board of Governor’s working meeting. As I shared during our meeting, we will be rescheduling the Board of Governors gathering in Boston from September 14–15 to October 19-20. These new dates will allow our global community of partners and supporters to fully engage in a series of landmark events planned in Boston.

Additionally, the October gathering in Boston will serve as an opportunity for us to explore and highlight the unique role and value that the University holds in the rehabilitation and renewal of institutions, communities, and families across the North.  The launch of the “Home Again” campaign signals a transformative chapter in our mission to expand access to education, improve health outcomes, and strengthen the connection between academic excellence and community impact. These milestones are part of the University’s broader strategic growth – positioning us as a national leader in applied research, innovation, and inclusive education, and as a key player in the social and economic revitalization of Israel’s northern region.

We thank you for your understanding and flexibility, and we look forward to welcoming you to Boston for what promises to be an engaging and highly interactive University Board of Governors gathering.

Stay tuned for further details and registration in the coming weeks.

Sincerely,

Gideon Herscher

Vice President for Transformational Philanthropy and Global Resource Development
